Printing the documents will greatly reduce the time spent at the registration office.

The following documents are necessary to register your child:
- A transfer card (if your child previously attended another school)
- A copy of your child's health record and immunization record
- A copy of your child's IEP if your child receives special services
- An original birth certificate with a raised seal
Two proofs of residency such as:
- Driver's license
- Deed to residence
- Original lease or notarized tenancy agreement
- Property tax bill
- Utility bill
- Bank account statement or cancelled checks
- Water or sewer bill
- Voter registration card

2026-2027 PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION
Students currently attending preschool in the Hamilton Township School District will automatically move up for the 26-27 school year.
At this time Preschool Enrollment for the 2026-2027 School year is closed.

For Preschool 4 your Child must be 4 by October 1, 2026 - no exceptions
For Preschool 3 your Child must be 3 by October 1, 2026 - no exceptions
**If you plan to enroll your child for Preschool, you should reach out now to your pediatrician to get a copy of a recent well-visit and all immunizations. A well-visit is valid for one year from the date of the examination. Children in need of an annual well visit should be scheduled soon so that documentation can be obtained prior to any deadlines.
Students selected will also need to have a copy of their proof of residency in the district (lease, deed, property tax bill or mortgage statement), Two forms of ID (at least one with a photo and one with the current address on it), the child’s state birth certificate (no hospital souvenir certificates are accepted), the well visit/NJ Universal Health Form, proof of immunization, and preschool packet forms.

Additional documentation, including a notarized affidavit of residency, will be required for parents who reside within the district who do not rent or own a residence
Your child must be 5 years old on or before October 1st to attend kindergarten. Your child must be 3 or 4 years old on or before October 1st to attend preschool.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Bring any custody agreements.
- If there are any court documents, meant to protect the student, such as a TRO/FRO, please include a copy
- If you live with someone else you need to bring proof of residency from the owner of that property along with a notarized form for the affidavit of domicile.
- If the student has an IEP, or 504 please submit a copy
- If you have the student's latest report cards or a copy of their transcript, please include it.
- The Registration is not complete until the online component has been completed AND we have all of the supporting documentation in our office to process the registration.
- Your student’s official start date will be determined by receipt of the supporting documents.
- We are located at the Hamilton Township Board of Education Office- 1876 Dr. Dennis Foreman Drive, Mays Landing, NJ (entrance is located at door #5, across from the athletic fields)
- If your child currently attends school in our district, you do not need to register for next year.
