Kids Corner

Our Kids Corner Program provides before- and after-school care for students enrolled in preschool, beginning at age 3, through fifth grade. All participating students must be fully potty-trained.

Program Hours

Before Care: 7:00 a.m. until the start of the school day
After Care: School dismissal until 6:00 p.m.

Program Fees

Shaner School

• Before Care: $5 per morning
• After Care: $10 per afternoon

Hess School

• Before Care: $7 per morning
• After Care: $8 per afternoon

Registration, Scheduling, and Payment

All scheduling and payments must be completed electronically through PEMBEE, the district’s Kids Corner registration system. Families may access the system at here - Kids Corner Registration - or by scanning the QR code provided on this webpage.

Payment is required at the time a schedule is submitted. Families will not have the option to be billed at a later date. All scheduled dates must be paid for in advance.

Families may schedule services up to four weeks in advance. Each Monday morning, scheduling for the current week will be closed. Once scheduling has closed, families will no longer be able to add, remove, or modify dates for that week through PEMBEE.

Enrollment Capacity

Program enrollment is limited to:

• 100 students at Shaner School
• 150 students at Hess School

Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Current-Week Schedule Changes

Families who require a scheduling change after the current week has closed must contact the Kids Corner office at (609) 476-6117. Staff will assist with the request based on program availability.

A $10 schedule-change fee will be applied to the family’s account for changes made after online scheduling has closed.

Families using the Rutgers childcare supplement must have their agreement in the system before they can apply it to their payment. Rutgers Childcare paperwork can be dropped off at the Shaner School Office weekdays till 3pm or e-mailed to us by clicking here: Email Us!
