WELCOME TO THE HAMILTON TOWNSHIP SCHOOL DISTRICT REGISTRATION SITE



IMPORTANT REMINDER: 
It is important to keep your address current for mailings and transportation purposes.  If you move (or have moved), you must notify the Registration Office and provide proof of residency. 
One of the following is needed:
copy of your new lease;
property deed;
mortgage statement;
property tax bill
Please place the copy in an envelope and label it "Change of Address" and list the names of ALL students who share the new address, place in the dropbox located at 5801 Third Street (Registration Entry Area).  Both the Student Information System (Genesis) and the Transportation System will be changed.  No change (to transportation) can be made without proof of address.  If you are in the home of another and your name is not on the lease, you must print the Affidavit of Living Arrangement, complete it and have it notarized and present it with the residency document from the list above.  Please make all changes by Friday, July 30 to receive your child's teacher assignment packet and bus pass for the 2021-22 school year.  If you have a scheduled closing or anticipate moving to a new apartment between 7/30/21 and 9/7/21, please call Registration at 609-476-6147 and speak to Gayle.

To register a student in Hamilton Township, please email registration@hamiltonschools.org and include the Child's name, date of birth, parent name, street address and phone number in the body of the email.  Instructions will be sent out with the link to online registration. 


To transfer your student OUT of the district, please complete the Online Transfer Form under the Registration Tab.


Our Secure Document Dropbox is available 24 hours per day.  You can place copies of your documents to complete registration in an envelope and drop them in the box at the Registration Entrance (5801 Third Street) as we continue our contactless registration process. 

REGISTRATION: Preschool thru Grade 8
Anyone who has a student to register for the 2021-2022 school year should send an email to
registration@hamiltonschools.org with the grade level of the student, date of birth, street address and the parent/guardian email & phone number. The registration department will send out a link for online student registration.

Information for the Preschool lottery

The Lottery happened 3/15/21 to 4/16/21.
All parents wishing to enroll their Preschool aged child will be placed on a waitlist from 4/17/2021 and beyond.
We need to provide access to registration to the parents and students of Hamilton Township in a way that is fair and equitable.  Basic information about the student and contact information for the parent/guardian will be collected so that students can be entered into a lottery for placement.  Priority will be given to students who are four years of age on or before October 1, 2021, with the remaining seats being assigned to three year olds who are selected in the lottery.

Parents must complete ALL aspects of the registration process, including providing necessary documentation within 48 hours of submitting the online registration. ALL registrations should be completed by the end of July to allow time for processing and transportation set up.

**Students who register after the lottery process is complete will be added to the waitlist in the order in which they are received. Priority will be given to 4 year olds for preschool throughout the process.


Parent(s) will gather the following in order to be ready to submit a registration if your child is chosen:

-Proof of Residency (Lease, Deed, Property Tax Bill or Mortgage statement)

-2 forms of ID (For the Parent)-Recent Utility Bill, Drivers License, voter ID card, Pay stub, bank statement {document must have current Hamilton Township Address}

-Birth Certificate for the student

-Recent (within the year) well visit/Universal Health Form completed by doctor

-List of all immunizations for the student

-Transfer Card (If the student attended a NJ public school prior to 2021-2022)

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How many seats are available?

The number of preschool slots is dependent upon State funding.  Due to Covid-19, there is uncertainty in terms of the State Aide HTSD will receive for our preschool program. With that said, the number of three and four year old preschool slots is undetermined at this time.  However, it is important to note that the children who participated in our 3 year old program during the 2020-2021 school year will automatically have seats as a four year old for the 2021-2022 school year.

2. How old do the students need to be to be eligible for preschool?

The program will be made available to all Hamilton Township families with a child that will be three (3) or four (4) years old on or before October 1, 2021. NOTE: Students will be selected through a lottery with priority given to students who will be four (4) years old on or before October 1, 2021.

3. How will the lottery be done?

A random number generated lottery will be held on April 23, 2021 for all four (4) year old students that enter the lottery. A separate number generated lottery will also be completed for the three (3) year olds. The lottery is not open to the public, but will be recorded. Students who are not selected through the random number generated lottery will be placed on a wait list. Once again, priority will be given to students who will be four on or before October 1, 2021.

4. When will the families be informed if they were selected for the program?

Families will be informed of the lottery results via email no later than April 26, 2021. Selected families will receive instructions on how to register their child at that time. Parents will need to present ALL required registration documents within the prescribed timeline, or they risk losing their spot in line. An orientation meeting for the families who are selected to participate in the program will be made available prior to the start of the program. The date of the orientation meeting has not yet been determined.

5. When does the program start?

The program will start on the first school day of the 2021-2022 school year as per the district’s school calendar.

6. What curriculum will be used for preschool?

All classrooms will be using the Creative Curriculum for instruction. All staff in the classrooms will be trained in the implementation of the state approved curriculum.
