Welcome to the 2011-2012 School year!
The 8th grade Language Arts Literacy
curriculum consists of novels, vocabulary, comprehension of literal,
interpretive and critical thinking, literary elements and open - ended
questions for narrative and persuasive text. The writing component of the class
includes poetry, persuasive, and narrative writing. In addition, completing various writing and
oral projects will be required.
WEEK OF May 21-25
All students will read their independent novel each day in class for 15-20 minutes.
