Hopefully all of you saw the ATLANTIC CITY PRESS on Friday morning. They had a great article and quotes from our students. The children experienced a wonderful opportunity to work with these fine professionals. This is an experience that will live in their memories for many years. Hi! Welcome to my music web page. I teach General Music to the 7th grade students. I also teach Instrumental Music for students in grades 6,7, and 8. Mr. Andrew Seigel and I co-direct the Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Show Choir and Treble Choir ( new Dec.2008).
In 2005 and 2006, our Concert Band and Show Choir have performed at "Music in the Parks" in Jackson, NJ. They received 1st and 2nd place trophies with ratings of Excellent and Very Good.
We started the Davies Synergy Percussion Ensemble in 2007. Mr. Fred Rushmore and I co-directed the group. Mr. Seigel and I are directing the Percussion Ensemble this year.
We also have a Jazz Band here at the Davies School - "Swing Kids". The group is directed by Mr. Andrew Seigel, assisted by Mr. James Daniels.
A walk down our "Music Hallway of Fame" will show all of our plaques and pictures of past performance groups from the very opening of the Wm. Davies Middle School in September of 1988.
